Dukung Sikap Indonesia, Kremlin Sindir IOC: Standar Ganda dalam Olimpiade
Pemerintah Rusia menyatakan dukungan terhadap langkah Indonesia yang mendapat peringatan keras dari Komite Olimpiade Internasional (IOC) setelah menolak kedatangan atlet-atlet Israel pada Kejuaraan Dunia Senam di Jakarta, 19–25 Oktober 2026.

“Tentu saja, ini adalah bentuk standar ganda. IOC tidak pernah mengeluarkan pernyataan serupa terhadap negara-negara yang menolak memberikan visa kepada atlet Rusia,” ujar juru bicara Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, dikutip dari Sport.ru, Jumat (24/10/2025).
Sebelumnya, IOC mengeluarkan peringatan keras kepada Indonesia setelah pemerintah menolak menerbitkan visa bagi enam atlet Israel yang dijadwalkan bertanding dalam ajang tersebut. Federasi Senam Israel sempat mengajukan banding ke Pengadilan Arbitrase Olahraga (CAS), namun ditolak sehingga atlet mereka tetap tidak dapat berlaga di Jakarta.
Sebagai tanggapan, IOC merilis empat butir keputusan. Dua di antaranya berisi teguran keras terhadap Indonesia, termasuk penghentian sementara pembahasan mengenai kemungkinan Indonesia menjadi tuan rumah Olimpiade di masa mendatang — yang sempat dikaitkan dengan rencana pencalonan untuk Olimpiade 2036.
Selain itu, IOC juga meminta seluruh federasi olahraga internasional agar tidak menggelar kejuaraan di Indonesia sampai pemerintah memberikan jaminan bahwa semua atlet dari negara mana pun dapat berpartisipasi tanpa diskriminasi.

Menanggapi hal tersebut, Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Erick Thohir menyatakan Indonesia menghormati keputusan IOC, namun tetap akan berupaya aktif berpartisipasi di kancah olahraga internasional.
