Tokoh Masyarakat Minta Wabup Asahan Tinjau Aktivitas Parkir di SMPN 1 Bandar Pulau
Praktik pengutipan uang parkir sepeda motor di lingkungan UPTD SMPN 1 Bandar Pulau menuai sorotan.
Tokoh masyarakat Bandar Pulau, Bakti Marpaung, meminta Wakil Bupati Asahan melakukan peninjauan langsung ke sekolah tersebut.
Menurut Bakti, pengelolaan parkir di sekolah negeri perlu dikaji kembali agar tidak menimbulkan persepsi negatif di tengah masyarakat.
Ia menilai seharusnya tidak ada pungutan yang membebani siswa dan meminta keterlibatan komite sekolah ditinjau ulang.
“Saya berharap Pak Wakil Bupati turun langsung ke sekolah ini, agar bisa melihat kondisi di lapangan dan memberikan arahan,” ujarnya, Kamis (22/5/2025).
Dari penelusuran di lapangan, diketahui siswa dikenakan biaya parkir sebesar Rp10.000 per bulan. Biaya tersebut, menurut keterangan, dikumpulkan oleh petugas parkir maupun pihak sekolah.

Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Ramayanti Marpaung, membenarkan adanya pengutipan tersebut.
Namun ia menegaskan, pihak sekolah tidak mengambil keuntungan dan menyebut inisiatif parkir berasal dari Komite Sekolah.
Hal senada disampaikan Kepala Sekolah Agustina Tobing dan Ketua Komite, S. Guntoro.
Guntoro mengungkapkan, dana parkir digunakan untuk membayar petugas parkir dan pemeliharaan area parkir.
“Kami kelola ini untuk kenyamanan siswa. Sebagian besar dana dialokasikan untuk operasional dan antisipasi risiko kehilangan,” jelasnya.
Meski demikian, sejumlah pihak berharap ada evaluasi dan transparansi lebih lanjut terkait pengelolaan parkir di sekolah guna menghindari kesalahpahaman publik dan menjamin prinsip pendidikan yang inklusif.
