Kolaborasi Stakeholder Digenjot, Terminal Tanjung Pinggir Disiapkan Jadi Simpul Utama Angkutan
Pemerintah Kota (Pemko) Pematangsiantar bersama Polres Pematangsiantar mematangkan langkah pengoptimalan Terminal Tipe A Tanjung Pinggir sebagai simpul utama angkutan umum dan solusi jangka panjang penguraian kemacetan kota. Kebijakan ini dibahas dalam Rapat Forum Lalu Lintas Angkutan Jalan di Mapolres Pematangsiantar, Rabu (14/1/2026).

Sekretaris Daerah Kota Pematangsiantar, Junaedi Antonius Sitanggang, menegaskan seluruh bus AKAP dan AKDP ke depan wajib menaikkan dan menurunkan penumpang di Terminal Tanjung Pinggir, bukan lagi di pool atau pusat kota. “Untuk membantu kinerja lalu lintas, terminal harus difungsikan maksimal. Akan kita buat papan jadwal keberangkatan dan pembeda bus transit maupun yang menaikkan penumpang,” ujar Junaedi.
Ia menambahkan, Pemko menyiapkan dukungan infrastruktur berupa pengaspalan hotmix ring road pada triwulan pertama 2026, pemasangan rambu hingga ke inti kota, serta pemindahan barikade dari Pasar Horas ke ring road. “Ring road akan kita aspal hotmix dan diperuntukkan dua arah. Rambu-rambu akan disesuaikan agar lalu lintas lebih kondusif,” katanya.
Wakapolres Pematangsiantar, Kompol Budiono Saputro, menekankan pentingnya kesepakatan bersama lintas instansi yang dituangkan dalam surat resmi Forum Lalu Lintas kepada PO bus. “Isinya tegas, menaikkan dan menurunkan penumpang wajib di Terminal Tanjung Pinggir dan dilarang di pool masing-masing. Jika membandel, harus ada sanksi,” katanya.
Menurut Budiono, rekayasa lalu lintas di kawasan Jalan Parapat, ring road, dan Simpang Dua perlu dipermanenkan untuk mengurai kemacetan. “Rekayasa lalu lintas ini harus dipatenkan dan berlaku setiap hari, bukan hanya saat operasi,” ujarnya.
Kasat Lantas Polres Pematangsiantar, Iptu Friska Susanna, juga menyoroti perlunya rambu larangan hingga pusat kota agar bus tidak lagi masuk sembarangan. “Setelah sosialisasi, harus ada tindakan tegas, termasuk pencabutan izin bagi bus yang tidak patuh,” katanya.

Sementara itu, perwakilan UPT Terminal Tanjung Pinggir, Bambang, menyampaikan terminal telah mulai beroperasi optimal sejak 5 Januari 2026 dengan fasilitas lengkap. “Ruang tunggu, musholla, halte, hingga pool bus AKDP dan AKAP sudah siap. Jika masih ada bus membandel, kami minta izinnya ditertibkan,” ujarnya. Dengan dukungan pengawasan CCTV 24 jam di 50 titik serta sosialisasi masif ke masyarakat.
