Pengendara Honda Vario Tewas Tertabrak Truk di Jalan SM Raja Medan
Seorang pengendara sepeda motor Honda Vario dengan nomor polisi BK 2690 AHR tewas usai tertabrak truk colt diesel bermuatan batu di Jalan Sisingamangaraja (SM Raja), Kecamatan Medan Amplas, Selasa (20 Mei 2025) siang.
Peristiwa tragis ini terjadi tepat sebelum Flyover Amplas, dan membuat arus lalu lintas di lokasi kejadian mengalami kemacetan panjang.
Seorang satpam yang berada tidak jauh dari lokasi, Deni (50) mengatakan, kecelakaan terjadi secara tiba-tiba. Ia mendengar suara benturan keras, lalu melihat warga mengangkat sepeda motor korban dari badan jalan.
“Saya tidak melihat persis kejadiannya. Tapi tiba-tiba terdengar suara keras, lalu saya lihat korban sudah tergeletak bersimbah darah di jalan,” ujar Deni saat ditemui di lokasi.
Kesaksian lain datang dari Fadli (15), yang saat kejadian sedang melintas bersama teman-temannya. Ia menjelaskan bahwa korban dan truk colt diesel melaju dari arah Simpang Indogrosir menuju Flyover Amplas.
“Tadinya bang kami datang dari bawa sana (arah Amplas). Tiba-tiba motor korban ini tertabrak truk dan korban meninggal,” ujar Fadli.
Awalnya, katanya, korban datang dari arah simpang Indogrosir atau berjalan searah dengan mobil truk colt diesel.

Setibanya di lokasi, korban diduga hendak menyalip dari sisi kanan ke kiri truk hingga terjadi kecelakaan.
“Awalnya mereka sama-sama datang dari atas sana (Indogrosir-red), kemudian korban ini menyalip dan tertabrak,” terang Fadli.
Korban mengalami luka parah di bagian kepala. Saat dievakuasi, ia masih mengenakan helm putih merek El-Tidi dan jaket berwarna coklat.

Jenazah korban kemudian dibawa ke rumah sakit oleh petugas kepolisian bersama barang bukti sepeda motor.
Identitas korban belum diketahui secara pasti hingga berita ini diturunkan.
Insiden ini menyebabkan kemacetan panjang di Jalan SM Raja, terutama di jalur menuju Flyover Amplas.
Pihak kepolisian saat ini masih melakukan penyelidikan lebih lanjut untuk memastikan kronologi kejadian dan kemungkinan keterlibatan kendaraan lain. Jenazah korban telah dibawa ke RS Bhayangkara Medan untuk keperluan visum.
Kepolisian mengimbau para pengguna jalan agar lebih berhati-hati, terutama di jalur padat seperti Jalan SM Raja, guna mencegah kecelakaan serupa terulang kembali. Keselamatan berkendara harus menjadi prioritas bagi semua pengguna jalan.
