Pemkab Toba Usulkan Sekolah Rakyat, Dorong Pendidikan Inklusif di Daerah

Bupati Toba bersama Wakil Bupati, Kepala Dinas Sosial, dan Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Toba melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Kementerian Sosial Republik Indonesia (Kemensos RI) di Jakarta, Kamis (3/7/2025).

Kunjungan ini diterima langsung oleh Sekretaris Jenderal Kemensos, Robben Rico, di ruang kerjanya. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Bupati Toba menyampaikan dukungan atas rencana pendirian Sekolah Rakyat (SR) di Kabupaten Toba serta menyerahkan proposal resminya.

Tak hanya itu, Pemkab Toba juga mengajukan proposal penambahan kuota Penerima Bantuan Iuran Jaminan Kesehatan (PBI JK) atau BPJS yang dibayarkan oleh pemerintah.

Pada tahun 2025, kuota penerima PBI JK di Toba ditetapkan sebanyak 57.690 jiwa. Namun hingga Juni, jumlah warga yang terdaftar telah mencapai 64.270 jiwa, melebihi kuota sebanyak 6.580 jiwa.

“Pemerintah Kabupaten Toba (Pemkab Toba) memohon agar tahun-tahun ke depan kuota penerima bantuan iuran tersebut mendapat penambahan lagi,” ujar Bupati Toba, Effendi, dalam pertemuan tersebut.

Sekjen Kemensos Robben Rico mengapresiasi langkah serius Pemkab Toba dalam upaya memperkuat pelayanan sosial, terutama lewat pengajuan pendirian Sekolah Rakyat dan penambahan kuota PBI JK.

Diharapkan, hasil pertemuan ini dapat membawa dampak positif terhadap peningkatan layanan pendidikan dan kesehatan di Kabupaten Toba. Dalam kesempatan yang sama, pihak Kemensos menyambut baik inisiatif Pemkab Toba. Program yang diajukan dianggap sejalan dengan upaya nasional dalam pengentasan kemiskinan melalui peningkatan akses pendidikan dan kesehatan.

Pejabat Kemensos menyampaikan bahwa proposal yang disampaikan akan segera ditelaah secara teknis oleh tim terkait. Jika memenuhi kriteria, Kemensos siap memberikan dukungan sesuai mekanisme yang berlaku.
