Pasca Kebakaran, Mayoritas Pedagang Gedung IV Pasar Horas Sepakat Direlokasi
Mayoritas pedagang Gedung IV Pasar Horas Kota Pematangsiantar akhirnya menyatakan kesediaannya untuk direlokasi. Kesepakatan ini berkaitan dengan rencana perobohan gedung yang sebelumnya mengalami kebakaran hebat.

Selama ini, para pedagang terpaksa berjualan di bahu jalan persis di depan gedung. Namun, dalam waktu dekat mereka akan dipindahkan ke area bawah Jalan Merdeka demi alasan keamanan.
Seorang pedagang daging babi, R. Samosir, mengaku sedang bersiap-siap menempati lokasi baru. Ia bahkan sudah membeli bahan untuk kios pengganti, karena lapak lamanya tidak bisa lagi digunakan.
“Pemerintah Kota (Pemko) Pematangsiantar berjanji membantu melalui dana pembelian bahan bangunan lapak. Jadi saya sekarang menyiapkan kios baru,” ujarnya kepada Mistar, Selasa (30/9/2025).
Terkait masih adanya beberapa pedagang yang menolak direlokasi, Samosir enggan berkomentar. “Masing-masing pedagang berhak menentukan sikapnya,” tambahnya.
Dari total 271 pedagang, sebanyak 265 pedagang telah sepakat mengikuti relokasi yang ditawarkan Pemko Pematangsiantar. Angka itu menunjukkan hampir seluruh pedagang mendukung langkah perobohan Gedung IV Pasar Horas.

“Paling tinggal 4-5 orang lagi yang belum menerima nomor lapak di tempat baru. Sisanya sudah setuju semua dan menerima nomor lapak dengan senang hati,” kata Bolmen.
