Nekat Curi Kabel, Seorang Pria di Binjai Kesetrum Listrik

Seorang pria ditemukan tewas tengadah di bawah tiang listrik di kawasan Jalan Soekarno-Hatta KM 17, Kelurahan Tunggurono, Kecamatan Binjai Timur, Kota Binjai, pada Sabtu sore, 25 Januari 2025 sekitar pukul 17.10 WIB.

Berdasarkan identifikasi, korban bernama Jhon Barnes Limbong (26), warga Diski, Deli Serdang. Diduga korban tersetrum aliran listrik saat hendak mencuri kabel dan panel listrik milik PLN yang terpasang di lokasi tersebut. Polisi bersama petugas PLN segera menindaklanjuti laporan mati listrik di wilayah tersebut dan menemukan korban tergeletak di bawah tiang listrik dengan alat-alat yang diduga digunakan untuk mencuri kabel.

Seorang pria diduga tersengat listrik saat mencoba mencuri kabel di Jalan Baru Megawati, Kecamatan Binjai Timur, Kota Binjai, Minggu (20/7/2025). Peristiwa ini menjadi sorotan warganet setelah diunggah oleh akun Facebook bernama M Zainal dan telah ditonton ratusan kali.

Dalam video yang diposting, terlihat seorang pria tergeletak di pinggir jalan dalam kondisi tidak bergerak. Belum diketahui secara pasti apakah pria tersebut pingsan atau telah meninggal dunia akibat tersengat listrik.

Sejumlah warga tampak berada di lokasi, bahkan ada yang mencoba menanyakan identitas pria tersebut. Namun, tidak mendapat jawaban atau reaksi dari yang bersangkutan.

Menurut keterangan Zainal dalam unggahannya, kabel listrik di lokasi kejadian telah hilang. Ia menduga pria yang tergeletak adalah pelakunya.

Zainal juga menyebutkan dalam kolom komentar bahwa pria tersebut dikenal sebagai pengrajin spesialis kabel, dan kemungkinan besar tersengat listrik saat beraksi.

Saat dikonfirmasi, Zainal membenarkan unggahan tersebut adalah miliknya. Namun, hingga berita ini ditulis pihak kepolisian belum memberikan keterangan resmi mengenai kejadian ini.
