Lapas Binjai Satukan Tekad Bersih Dari Narkoba

Binjai – Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) Kelas IIA Binjai menyatakan komitmennya untuk mewujudkan lingkungan bebas dari narkoba. Komitmen tersebut ditegaskan dalam deklarasi bersama yang digelar di halaman lapas, Jumat (12/7/2025), dihadiri oleh jajaran pegawai, warga binaan, serta perwakilan aparat penegak hukum.

Kepala Lapas Binjai, M. Yusuf, menyampaikan bahwa deklarasi ini merupakan bagian dari gerakan nasional pemberantasan narkoba di lingkungan pemasyarakatan. “Kami tidak memberi ruang sedikit pun bagi peredaran dan penyalahgunaan narkoba, baik oleh warga binaan maupun petugas,” ujarnya.

Sebagai bentuk keseriusan, Lapas Binjai juga rutin menggelar tes urine mendadak, memperketat pengawasan, serta bekerja sama dengan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) dan aparat kepolisian. Program pembinaan dan penyuluhan kepada warga binaan juga terus ditingkatkan.

Kegiatan ini mendapat apresiasi dari berbagai pihak dan diharapkan menjadi langkah nyata dalam memutus mata rantai peredaran narkoba dari dalam lembaga pemasyarakatan.

 Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) kelas II A Binjai, terus melakukan pembinaan dengan aktifitas positif baik kerohanian, sosial juga kebersihan dan kesehatan (Medis) buat Warga Binaan Permasyarakatan (WBP).

Selain gotong royong,WBP sibuk melakukan aktiftas kerajinan tangan lainnya. Semua ini dilakukan sesuai dengan komitmen Lapas, ‘satu tekad bersih dari narkoba’.

Dalam pembinaan tidak lah semudah membalikkan telapak tangan, akan tetapi semua itu akan menjadi sederhana bila tugas yang diamanahkan itu dilakasanakan dengan iklas, jujur dan transparan sehingga tindakan persuasif akan mengarah menjadi edukatif.

“Mereka juga sama sama dengan kita, hanya saja persoalan tempat dan nasib, namun tugas kita sebagai abdi nergara, bagaimana cara agar konsep memuliakan sesama dapat terlaksana dengan baik,” kata Serikat.

Selain itu jelas Serikat, ada jadwal rutin pihak Lapas bekerja  sama dengan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN), untuk pemeriksaan urine semua WBP, dan  kerja sama terus dilakukan guna pencegahan dini kontaminasi narkoba.

“Pemeriksaan uriene tetap saja dilakukan agar mereka warga binaan  tidak  terkonasminasi dengan narkoba, ujar Serikat.

Di samping itu, pihak Lapas menyediakan waktu berkunjung, ruangan dan tempat untuk bekumpul keluarga.

Pihak Lapas juga menyiapkan ustad untuk mengisi ceramah ketika WBP melaksanakan jumatan. Sedangkan ibadah minggu juga dihadirkan pendeta.

Hal ini adalah bagian terpenting bagi WBP untuk lebih mengedepankan ibadah sebagai pendekatan diri kepada Tuhan.
