Cegah Truk ODOL, Dishub Binjai Pasang Portal

Binjai – Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Binjai memasang portal di sejumlah ruas jalan rawan dilewati truk Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) untuk mencegah kerusakan infrastruktur dan menjaga keselamatan lalu lintas. Pemasangan portal dilakukan di jalan lingkungan yang tidak diperuntukkan bagi kendaraan bertonase berat.

Kepala Dishub Binjai, Andi Syahputra, mengatakan langkah ini diambil menyusul banyaknya laporan warga terkait truk bermuatan melebihi kapasitas yang masih nekat melintas di jalan kota. “Portal ini dipasang agar truk ODOL tidak bisa sembarangan masuk ke jalan yang bukan peruntukannya,” ujarnya, Jumat (12/7/2025).

Beberapa titik yang telah dipasangi portal antara lain Jalan Ikan Paus, Jalan Samanhudi, dan Jalan Gunung Sinabung. Dishub juga akan berkoordinasi dengan kepolisian dan Satpol PP untuk melakukan pengawasan rutin.

Pemerintah Kota Binjai berharap para pengusaha angkutan dapat mematuhi aturan demi menjaga kondisi jalan dan keselamatan masyarakat. Jika terbukti melanggar, truk ODOL akan dikenakan sanksi sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku.

Untuk mencegah kerusakan jalan akibat truk Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL), Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Binjai melakukan pemasangan portal di empat titik.

Masing-masing lokasi pemasangan portal tersebut, yakni di Jalan Yos Sudarso dan MT Haryono, keduanya berada di Kecamatan Binjai Utara.

Kepala Bidang Pengembangan dan Keselamatan Dishub Binjai, Roy Simanjuntak, melalui Kasi Sarpras, Hermansyah, membenarkan pemasangan portal tersebut.

Hermansyah mengakui, pemasangan portal untuk mencegah kerusakan jalan akibat truk ODOL yang melintas tidak pada jalurnya. “Dengan portal ini diharapkan truk dapat melintas di jalan yang sesuai dengan spesifikasinya. Sehingga ruas jalan lain tidak cepat mengalami kerusakan,” ucapnya.

Di samping itu, kata Hermansyah, pemasangan portal di empat titik ini dilakukan sesuai dengan permintaan masyarakat. “Banyak surat dari masyarakat yang masuk. Dasar surat itulah, Dishub mengambil tindakan,” tegasnya.

Hermansyah menambahkan, pemasangan portal ini sebenarnya ada lima titik. Namun, satu titik lainnya akan dipasang setelah ada instruksi lanjut dari pimpinan. “Portal berikutnya di Jalan Manggis Binjai Barat,” bebernya.

Pemasangan portal yang dilakukan Dishub Binjai mendapat apresiasi dari masyarakat, khususnya warga yang tinggal di Lingkungan VII, VIII, dan IX, kelurahan Mencirim, Binjai Timur.

Warga menilai, pemasangan portal sangat baik karena dapat mencegah kerusakan jalan. “Jalan kami ini sudah mulai rusak. Padahal baru aja diaspal. Bagus lah dipasang portal. Jadi jalannya gak cepat rusak,” kata salah seorang warga Jalan Cendrawasih, Mencirim, Binjai Timur.

Pantauan di lokasi pemasangan portal Jalan Cendrawasih, tidak tampak adanya protes. Di lokasi, pemasangan portal disaksikan Lurah Mencirim, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, Kepling VII dan IX.
