Cegah Keracunan, DPRD Simalungun Desak MBG Terapkan Standar Ketat di Dapur
Anggota DPRD Kabupaten Simalungun, Bernhard Damanik, menekankan pentingnya pengawasan ketat terhadap kualitas dan kuantitas makanan dalam program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), khususnya yang disiapkan oleh dapur umum Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG).

Menurutnya, dapur umum penyedia makanan MBG harus memenuhi standar kelayakan yang tinggi untuk memastikan siswa yang menerima manfaat benar-benar memperoleh gizi sesuai harapan program nasional tersebut.
“Jangan sampai terjadi kasus keracunan siswa di Simalungun seperti yang terjadi di daerah lain. Ini harus jadi perhatian serius,” ujar Bernhard saat dimintai tanggapannya, Rabu (24/9/2025).
Bernhard mengingatkan pengelola dapur MBG agar berhati-hati sejak tahap persiapan hingga distribusi makanan ke sekolah-sekolah. Ia juga meminta guru dan orang tua untuk memastikan makanan yang dikonsumsi anak-anak dalam kondisi layak.
“Guru harus benar-benar memperhatikan proses pendistribusian. Jangan karena kelalaian, siswa jadi korban. Orang tua juga harus mengingatkan anak-anak agar mengecek makanan sebelum dimakan,” katanya.
Sementara itu, dalam Rapat Paripurna DPRD, Rabu (10/9/2025) lalu, Sekretaris Daerah Simalungun, Mixnon Andreas Simamora, menyatakan Pemkab Simalungun telah membentuk Tim Percepatan Pelaksanaan Program MBG.

“Sebagai bentuk komitmen, kami telah membentuk tim percepatan dan telah mengusulkan tiga lokasi lahan untuk dipinjam pakai oleh Badan Gizi Nasional,” ucap Mixnon kala itu.

Ketiga lahan yang diusulkan itu nantinya akan digunakan untuk pembangunan fasilitas pendukung oleh Kementerian PUPR. Saat ini, meskipun pelaksanaan program MBG di Simalungun masih dalam tahap awal, sudah ada tiga dapur sehat yang disetujui untuk mendukung pelaksanaan program nasional tersebut.
