1.250 Buruh Sergai Rayakan May Day di Pantai Woong Rame
Sebanyak 1.250 buruh dari 19 serikat pekerja di Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) memeriahkan peringatan Hari Buruh Internasional (May Day) yang digelar di kawasan wisata Pantai Woong Rame, Kecamatan Pantai Cermin, Kab.Sergai, Minggu (18/5/2025).
Mengusung tema “May Day is Collaboration Day”, peringatan ini menjadi ajang solidaritas dan kebersamaan antara pekerja, pengusaha, serta pemerintah daerah dalam membangun hubungan industrial yang harmonis.
Dalam sambutannya yang dibacakan Wakil Bupati Sergai, H. Adlin Umar Yusri Tambunan, S.T., M.S.P., Bupati H. Darma Wijaya menyampaikan apresiasinya kepada para buruh dan serikat pekerja yang telah aktif memperjuangkan hak-hak pekerja, sekaligus turut menjaga iklim investasi yang kondusif di daerah.
“Pemerintah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai terus berkomitmen mendukung kebijakan pusat, khususnya dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan buruh. Mari kita wujudkan Sergai yang mantap, mandiri, terampil, asri, dan berkualitas,” ucapnya.

Ia juga menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara seluruh elemen masyarakat, termasuk pengusaha dan pekerja, demi kemajuan daerah. Pidato tersebut ditutup dengan seruan semangat: “Hidup Buruh! Hidup Buruh!”
Menjaga Pengamanan yang Ketat dari Polres Serdang Bedagai menurunkan 54 personel berdasarkan surat perintah langsung dari Kapolres AKBP Jhon Sitepu, S.I.K., M.H. Pengamanan ini dipimpin langsung oleh Kasat Binmas IPTU Inja V. Kaban, S.H., yang turut hadir di lokasi acara.

“Kami siap siaga mendukung pengamanan kegiatan May Day. Kepolisian juga membuka layanan cepat jika masyarakat mengalami gangguan keamanan, cukup hubungi Call Center 110 atau berkoordinasi dengan Bhabinkamtibmas di desa,” jelas Kasat Binmas.
Acara berlangsung dalam suasana penuh semangat dan keakraban, menjadi bukti nyata bahwa Hari Buruh bukan hanya perayaan perjuangan, tetapi juga momentum memperkuat sinergi antar komponen daerah.
